As a king of the world:would you give capital punishment to a guilty murderer or jail for life time?

The two choice:
(A)Lifetime in jail:means the person will be put in a place, be feed and also given shelter and a lot of stuff he can do except going outside the world.
(B)Capital punishment: means you end someones life, your life ends too.very simple.

You as a king of the world, you are to implement a rule not for a single person but for the whole humanity. And you know that there are some people out there that are ready to end someone else’s life.
Choice (A): The murderer gets to live, eat, have shelter and do a lot of stuff, but how about the person who got killed? The person who got killed cannot eat, basically for him it was "THE END". His dreams, his family, his everything just suddenly went "THE END"
Again you also have to think that its the whole humanity you are looking at right now. All the people who are ready to commit murder out there are ready to hear your choice.
To clarify the murderer is found guilty and there are a lot witnesses who saw him do it.
If you give him life and no jail. How would you know hes not going to kill again? The other people out there heard your choice, would these murderers be afraid to commit murder now? I mean they know once they kill someone you are just going to get them to work with a family or something? But if the person knows that if he end someones life, there life ends too, then they will have to think a lot before committing this act.
Again don’t look at the individual this is for the whole humanity. The choice you chose will effect all other people who are about to end someone’s life.

I would give him a life but not in jail. Instead, he would spend the rest of his life working for the family he wronged.

To suffer would mean to LIVE….thats why most suicidal people are suicidal: because they would rather take the EASY way out and just die and have an END.

But consequences to me means suffering

If I could expect every single case to be so easily solved and corroborated, and know there would be no expensive appeals process; I would enact capital punishment.

Pity, it doesn’t really end up working that way.

Do you think it makes a difference if the victim was your mother? That makes it easy for me to say kill him. Philosophically, I would say suffering for life would be more appropriate. I’ve never been able to reconcile the two. I hope someone has an answer.

i would take all of the convicted criminals, load them up in army trucks and send them to the war.
they want a fight?, there ya go, have fun.
i am so against feeding, clothing and giving them libertys that they should have lost .

wish i could go to college for free!!

All sounds like too much work to me. People don’t generally get killed for no reason. If they’ve wronged someone else, to the extent that they want to kill them, I’d let them sort it out between themselves. Getting involved in other peoples feuds, and vendettas just makes them bigger. I’d make sure everybody had the right to be armed though, because an armed population, is a polite, and generally more respectful population. The alternative is to have armed Police, and Armed Criminals, being the only ones with weapons. Criminals, don’t obey the Law, and will arm themselves anyway. So all that does, is to give Criminals an unarmed population to prey upon. And anyway, I have got enough on my plate, just trying to run my own life, so why would I want too be "King of the World" and have to run everyone else’s too?
