Don’t you just love the song?
Anyway, do you think the song had any special meaning to Michael?

I love the soong espessially this part:
"Then they smiled with eyes that looked as if they knew me
This is scaring me"
He sounds soo cute when he sings it.
It reminds me of the whole incident with Joseph and Katherine.
When Joseph cheated ALOT on katherine.
This line relates:
‘She thought that I had cheated for another lover
I turn my back to see that I am undercover
Now I can’t convince this girl there ain’t no other"

i dont think it did.
i read that he named it heartbreak hotel and then after realized that Elvis had a song named that and he changed the title. that’s all i know about it

i love that song and michael has been heartbroken many times before so i do believe that the song has special meaning even in his later years so many people have back stabbed him lied about him

No, he says in his autobiography that he just though of the name. Yeah, I love the song. I love all his songs.

maybe, well when he was touring as a teenager with the jackson 5 he was staying in hotels all over america. so maybe he had a girlfriend and she broke up with him in a hotel or something.

Yeah I’m sure it had a special meaning to him, as he did write it and he always said he wrote songs that meant things to him. It was also the only Jacksons song (aside from the medley) that he sang in the Bad Tour for both the first and second leg, so he himself must have really liked the song.

OMG, that’s my all time favourite song. Ever. Really.
My favourite line from it’s the one on my profile- ‘Someone’s evil to hurt my soul, every smile’s trial though in beguile to hurt me’. Love it. I think it probably did have a meaning to him, he writes most of his songs having being inspired by something or because of an event. Maybe it is about heartbreaks he had during his younger years. I don’t know. It’s a shame it wasn’t as recognized as some of his other hits, i love that song so much.
