thanks QuestionsByTaylor, having said all that, i still think this song and the Graceland album is one of the alltime greatest classics. It is like it has bottled lightning or something, brilliant and subtle.

I’m not having a problem with his language delivery. The song has ‘morphed’ into an icon of itself, in a sense, perhaps to the point where this rendition, with its subtle musical variations, is simply lovely. The BBC has gotten the video delivery spot-on, too.

By strange pronunciation, i mean that he seems to be putting on some kind of overempahsised drawing out of words like he is imitating elvis or something, it is offputting.
