That first one on the 1968 Elvis got my heart beating! Humma, humma. . . .

So, I’d have to go with the 1968 Elvis but thought they were all great pictures.

The older one, the white jump suit.

I seen him in person when he performed in Chicago and this was1970-1971 and he was wearing an all baby blue jump suit. He was fantastic something you would never forget.

I was lucky enough to see him in two concerts at different stages of
his life. And I would have to say, he was the most electrifying in the
1968 period. Naturally, I fell in love with the man when most all of the
girls my age did. Right from our first picture with him in Love Me Tender. And we sat with baited breath, waiting for him to get in front of
the camera on the Ed Sullivan Show.
But when I saw him during his last concert tour, with field binoculars,
I could tell he was sick. He sweated the entire time on stage. And later, when he sat on a stool to the side of the stage, trying to get his breath, I was worried he would leave us, right then and there. His back up singers,The Sweet Inspirations, sang a song. And there was a trio of men who sang after that. All while Elvis was resting to the side of the stage.
It was so heart tugging, as I watched him. That I couldn’t stand to see
the man suffering, and I left my mom and waited until the show was
over, outside of the entrance. I was the only person outside. No one
was even having a cigarette. But the king was onstage, and even the
worst smoking habits were on hold, while he entertained. I regret not
seeing him finish his show, but the remaining images in my mind,
still haunt me today. He shouldn’t have taken that last tour. it was
taking a toll on his body. And it showed in his performance. So I’ve
kept his performance peak, during the late 60’s, in my mind, when he was the sexiest of men, much less as an entertainer, as the best time of his life, on or off the stage. No one ever came close to his physical appeal, or his capabilities as a single singing artist. And I can’t imagine anyone in the future, even coming close to what he became, to millions of girls back when he struck the nation numb.
