I’m having a 30th Bday party (theme Casino) & to save $$$ i thought I’d play music & project images onto a blank white wall as entertainment. Is there a program that will help me arrange music to images etc. I’d also like to project Elvis/Sinartra video film clips as well. Does anyone know how I can does this, so that it is automated and runs without someone having to sit there all night changing songs etc???

There are several plug-ins for Windows Media Player which allows you to use photographs as your visualizations. Here’s a link to where you can download for free:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/visualizations.aspx?locale=409&geoid=f4&version=11.0.5721.5230&userlocale=409

The plug-ins I’m thinking of are called Picture Viz I and II. Create a play-list on Media Player and it will transition through the pics while playing music. Put videos in your play-list, too, and it will play the videos when they come up in the play-list then switch back to the visualizations when playing music again.

Beyond that, there’s a number of software packages out there that will let you create audio/video presentations but they all cost quite a bit. The most commonly used would be Microsoft’s Power Point. You can create a presentation which includes music synchronized to a photo slide show and switch to full-screen videos and back again. It would even let you create montages where multiple photos appear on the screen with different animation/fade effects. Once created, the presentation can be run continuously and even set to loop.

Power Point is a part of Microsoft Office and just about anyone who works in an office has a copy of it.
