I’ve written a comparison and contrast paper about Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. My professor said that she thought my concluding paragraph needed more developing. Could someone help me out a bit and give me some good tips and pointers. I want to know how I should that the paragraph, what needs to be in the body, and what I should put as the last sentence of it. Thank you for the help.
Well it is hard from this end especially when it is a compare and contrast essay but usually I tell people the conclusion is your chance to wrap up what you wrote about, paraphrase the major points and create a final impression or drive home the major point you were trying to make in the entire essay itself. The last sentence as you asked should be just that, a final point that drives home an impression or makes a final point about the entire theme of the essay itself.
Alright I went and found a pretty good site that might help you out more than me babbling on here so in any case hope it helps

Or two different ways of looking at a conclusion:
The conclusion — like the introduction — should be a generalization of the thesis. This paragraph should express your certainty and absolute knowledge on the subject matter. You should reaffirm your thesis (essentially restate it in new words) and show how you’ve proven it.
This conclusion is wrapping up everything you have just proven in your paper. It should restate the thesis in a new, more official way.
