Planning a holiday there from England and was then planning on driving to Atlaanta to visit friends. Any ideas how long a drive too? Thanks

The Peabody Hotel is the Graceful old hotel with the ducks.
There are scheduled show times when the "Duck-master" brings the fellows down from their Penthouse on the roof.
I recommend you call the hotel and ask what times the shows are.
Get there early to get a good spot.
There is a nice cafe and coffee/tea/treats can be purchased.

Also there is Beale Street.
This is a bad part of town, but also home of outstanding blues players.
If you like Sax (saxophone) and blues, this street is for you!

Of course Memphis has a Zoo, and years ago it was a nice one.

About 65 miles South of Memphis, almost to Grenada is a great Fish hatchery. You can walk through and there are many aquariums, along with information about the hatchery and the three huge lakes in the area.
I do not remember the name of the Highway, possibly 35.

The Hatchery may or may not be on your way to Atlanta, just keep in mind, all roads lead to Atlanta!

I have been going to Graceland at least twice a year since 1991, so I have been there approximately 30 times (I KNOW!!). In any case, I have a fairly comprehensive collection of photos that I thought some of you may be interested in, whether you have never been to Graceland, or if you have been many times. EPE has plans to totally change the set up now, except for Graceland itself, so Graceland may actually not be this way for long. THIS IS PART 1 OF 4.
